Q. What is the Assistive Technology Centre (ATC)?

The Assistive Technology Centre (ATC) includes two open access computer rooms for the use of students with a disability, specific learning difficulty, Mental Health Needs or long-term health condition, and is run by the Disability Team.

The main ATC room is located on the ground floor of the Library by the entrance, immediately after the main reception. There is an additional ATC computer room (the ATC Annexe) opposite the Library Help Desk. To book the ATC Annexe, visit Library Room Bookings. The Library is accessible via an entrance on the corner of Dixon Road and Lewisham Way.

The ATC is a restricted access area.  In order to be able to use it, you must register with the Disability Team, and then book an appointment with a Disability Advisor. Once this has been approved, your library records should be updated and allow for access to the ATC. If you continue to have access problems beyond this point, please ask a member of staff at the library help desk for assistance.

For further advice regarding disability support available in the library, please contact an inclusion and support officer via email: libraryinclusion@gold.ac.uk .
