Q. What is Shibboleth?
Shibboleth is an identity management system which authenticates users. It allows Goldsmiths students and staff to access content - such as e-journals - securely from external websites.
If you are working off-campus you may need to login to use our subscribed resources by finding the 'Login via Shibboleth' or 'Login via Institution' link (usually in the top-right of the webpage). You might see a list of countries to choose from (select UK) before a list of institutions from which you can select Goldsmiths.
At the Shibboleth log-in screen, you will need to enter your campus username and password to access the external website.
Generally, if you are on-campus you won't need to login.
