Q. What is the Goldsmiths Textile Collection?

A. The Goldsmiths Textile Collection documents the history of textiles at Goldsmiths from the 1940s to the present day. It includes works by Goldsmiths alumni and other textile artists, as well as ethnographic and historical textiles and dress.

There is an extensive textile library, holding books, journals and a large collection of pamphlets and exhibition catalogues.

All researchers must make an appointment to view textiles from the collection, but anyone can drop in during opening hours to visit the current exhibition or consult the library.

Email textiles@gold.ac.uk for more information or to make an appointment.
